Granola Balls

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups of rolled oats

3 tbsp. of goji berries

2 tbsp. of ground flax seeds (optional)

2 tsp. of maca powder (optional)

¼ cup of raw honey

Method:

1) Mix everything together thoroughly

2) Use your hands and roll the mixture into 10 balls by using your hands. You will

need to press hard to get them to form without falling apart.

3) Place the granola balls onto a plate and put them into the freezer for 15 minutes

to set.

4) Enjoy!

Sweet food is an essential comfort food, making us feel like we are “home” but when we eliminate refined sugar, often times we don’t know where to turn. Honey is where I like to turn. The honey provides a boost of glucose into our blood and brain for immediate energy, while the oats provide a longer sustaining fuel. The maca targets a deeper vital energy be regulating our hormones and the goji berries are rich in nutrients.

Instead of grabbing pre-made granola bars with added ingredients, we can make these in 5 minutes or so and ensure that our body is only being fed the best of the best.

What are your 3 favourite foods?

My 3 favourite foods are French cheeses, buckwheat flour blueberry muffins, and raw vegan cheese-less cheesecake.

Please share with us one of your biggest health tips.

My biggest health tip is to slowly eliminate refined sugar by replacing it with nutrient rich and health supporting natural sugars like honey, maple syrup and coconut palm sugar. Eliminated refined sugar helps regulate our bodies and takes care of handfuls of uncomfortable symptoms we may feel.
