Salak, also know as Snake Fruit is intimidating to say the least on first sight!
As it’s name refers it resembles the skin of a snake with prickers all over it…. however inside is a sweet sour taste that resembles a crunchy pear with a tang. What foods have you encoutered on your travels that needed some coaxing (or a few shots of the local liquid courage!) for you to put in your mouth and swallow?
